There's something that every photographer lives for during a shoot. Sure, coordinating outfits are great, beautiful light is a must, and posing is important as well. But I'm going to let you in on a little secret: what we want most from you is a genuine, happy, crazy big smile.
I'm not talking about polite smiles. I'm talking about full-on nose and eye wrinkling grins that are full of teeth and completely unselfconscious. That's photographic gold, guys. That's real life.
Families that like to have fun during their shoots are the best. The Jennings family ran, jumped, played, and smiled during their entire session. Erica and Cameron are full of energy, and loved playing together and wrestling like brothers and sisters do. We could barely get the kids to put down the giant bubble wand and move on to our next location...proof that they were definitely not bored during our shoot!
Eric and Cami are so great together. They are a beautiful couple, but it had been years since they had a portrait taken of just the two of them together. Couples' portraits are something I try to include with every family session. Many times, documenting our marriages can get pushed to the back burner when we're raising our kids, and it's so nice to make pictures that demonstrate Mom and Dad are still very much in love. These are images that their kids will cherish as adults.
Even though it's not even technically fall yet, we sure got some fantastic fall light as the sun began to set. The Jennings' session yielded some of my favorite golden hour images yet, complete with the big, glorious smiles I love so much.
Thank you Cami, Eric, Cameron and Erica for letting loose and having some fun in the park with me! I had a wonderful time being your photographer!
