Earlier in the day...

Tim and Whitney are the kind of people who make you feel at ease immediately. They are so welcoming, kind, and gracious that it makes everyone around them comfortable. On their wedding day, this graciousness was on full display, as they personally thanked each guest for coming and created an atmosphere of welcome and charm at their Twin Hills Country Club wedding.

Their wedding day could not have been more picture-perfect - from their getting-ready moments to the exchanging of gifts which I documented, the day was filled with loving and thoughtful moments. Tim is a huge Cowboys fan, and the cufflinks and groom's cake that Whitney surprised him with made his eyes light up. As for Whitney, seeing her tears as she opened the Bible Tim gifted her with was a testimony to how important their faith and marriage vows mean to them.

Tim's daughter Josie was an integral part of the wedding day, and you can see how close she is to Whitney and her daddy. They even included her in their first dance! Whitney is an awesome bonus mom, and Josie is a very blessed little girl to have such a naturally loving and kind person like Whitney Ann in her life. They don't make people much sweeter - a quality I really came to cherish during the entire planning process. I love all my brides, but some leave an especially wonderful mark on your heart.

From their ceremony filled with laughter and emotion, to dancing the night away with friends and family, Whitney and Tim's wedding day summed up their personality as a couple perfectly - fun, loving, family-centered, and considerate. I wish them every happiness for always!

Jessica and Joey are the type of couple who value their nearest and dearest. Their intimate wedding was held the weekend before Christmas at the Historic Ramsay building in downtown Joplin. They designed a beautiful wedding that was casual but elegant, complete with sophisticated details and timeless glamour.

As I went about documenting their wedding day, I could see how close Jessica is with her family. Her sisters and their parents shared many special moments throughout the day, and her grandfather even officiated the ceremony. The expression on Joey's face when he first saw his beautiful bride walking down the aisle was truly unforgettable! You can see how much he adores Jessica by the way he looks at her.

Their reception was filled with meaningful toasts, family portraits, and probably the most epic bouquet toss battle I've ever witnessed! Jessica's bridesmaid Clara won, hands down. That girl was serious! We all had a good laugh after her victory.

After dinner, we stole Jessica and Joey away for a few moments to capture some portraits of the happy newlyweds. Nighttime portraiture is becoming a staple in my repertoire as a photographer, and I enjoy meeting the challenges that it brings. Sa'dia and I love to try new techniques with the Ice Light - creating one-of-a-kind images for our couples that aren't your average portraits.

I enjoyed getting to know Jessica, Joey, and their families during our time together. They created so many memories with one another on their wedding day, and it was an honor to be there. Their entire family was incredibly kind, gracious, and considerate. I've been lucky that I've gotten to work with some of the most wonderful families during my career, and I wish all of them much happiness and love.

Thank you so much, Joey and Jessica - may you be blessed abundantly in your marriage!
